One Week Friends 一週間フレンズ。

This week, the growing circle of Kaori’s friends spend most of the time in her home neighborhood, where the background art draws on the area heading up the slope from Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Station (聖蹟桜ヶ丘駅) in Tama (多摩市), Tokyo Metropolis.

A kōban (交番) is a local neighborhood police station, usually little more than a small box where you can go to report crimes or ask for help, though asking for maps/directions and rummaging through the lost-and-found seem to be the most frequently used services. The officers stationed at kōban are ambassadors between the force and the people in their coverage area, and generally know the neighborhood inside and out.

Mekakucity Actors メカクシティアクターズ

While we still appear to be playing with bits of Tokyo’s Odaiba (お台場) and possibly Kōtō Ward (江東区), the background art has become more and more abstract, particularly the visit to the graveyard near the end. The relative lack of activity from the pilgrimage activity seems to suggest it would be best to just sit back and enjoy the scenery.
