Someone at the Demachi Masugata Shōtengai (出町桝形商店街) seemed to think the large mackerel—officially dubbed Waka Saba-chan (若さばちゃん)—that hangs from the arcade roof ought to have the chance to enjoy hanami before the last cherry blossoms fall this spring. I’d really like to know how that came up in the management meeting.
